I went to Buttonwillow Raceway this past weekend. Aside from a slight air leak, that I discovered early on, I had 2 great days of racing!! I had a small gap on the silicone coupler just behind the MAF. This let in some unmetered air and set off a code. A short chat with Andy of A&A and a brief search unvieled the problem.
I dueled most of the weekend with a Z06 driver, who wasn't afraid to lay it all out there!! I drive my car to the track and put my #1 priority on staying on the track, and driving home in one piece.... Here is a lap of me chasing the Z06 around the track!! Please disregard the grinding shift in the vid, I debated weather or not to use this segment, but as usual, I missed getting some of the best video of the day, so this was some of the best I did get. There were a few close calls, where people went off the track, or spun out right in front of me!! Too bad the camera was off.... http://www.corvettekillstories.com/photoga...Pics/onelap.wmv I ran a personal best of 2:07.4 on the full track configuration!! At the end of 8 sesions of hard driving, my belts were in great shape!! I've recently changed my PCV/catchcan system around. Xtreme1 helped me with his design. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!! This setup REALLY works. I used less then a half a quart of oil all weekend, and had most of that in my catch can. In the past, let's just say this would not have been the case. This setup creates vacuum in the crankcase and really did the job under extreme conditions!! Cool vid JB
That looks like a fun track, I live an hour away from Road America, not sure if they have open days or not, but if they do I gotta hit it, and learn some skillz, maybe take some Skip Barber classes. Sounds like Xtreme1 has something that could solve some problems for alot of people, he should manufacture that setup, make a little cash -------------------- http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a292/raptornails/IMG_0230.jpg[/img]]Picture of my car://http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a...cture of my car://http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a...cture of my car://http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a...cture of my car://http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a...cture of my car://http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a...cture of my car://http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a...cture of my car

I guess the Z06 driver got tired of towing you around the track and finally gave way.

Nice run JB. He looked like he pushed a little too hard a couple of times. Great driving though.
