Ok I just about shit myself when i seen this video. Just the fact that the c6z has 100 less hp and they still run neck and neck is just amazing. http://youtube.com/watch?v=PBf-hoW_rUk

--------------------
I can remember about 7 years ago when my car only had 400rwhp and was going low 12's at the track and people were thinking that it was fast!!! Fast forward until now at it seems that you have to be packing at least 700rwhp and be running 9's to be considered fast!!!

If you read the credits at the end you would see the Ligenfelter TT did NOT run at open throttle due to spinning in 3rd. gear. Don't kid yourself, that TT is twice the car the "Z" is, he just has to be careful he can hook up.

I didnt care to read the credits because it was the video that counts and if the tt z cant hook up then i guess the next mod would to be to swap out the rear tires for some better ones. It would have been a really good race and i bet the c6 zo6 would have won if they had gone from a stop.

More power isn't always good when you get to this level on the street. I mean, if you can't hook up and you're running another fast car that can...then where are you?

If you think the C6Z06 can out run a twin turbo LPE from a standing start....well I have a bridge in New York you can buy. The C6 "Z" is a fine car but not a miracle car as there is much more horsepower/torque with the LPE TT. And yes getting it to the ground is important but there is just so much you can do with 500 horseys.
Oh yea, you may want to look into your bowel problems you say your having when watching this video. laugh.gif

TT vette's should be doing 100mph roll races.....not 60mph. That is like hitting WOT on a stock z06 in 1st gear. Think about that then you'll understand how bad traction issues are for a TT vette at 60 mph.

You know there is a video on you tube of a C5 beating a stock C6 Z06 in a 1/4 drag race. The guy in the "Z" just spun his tires at the "tree" and got left behind. I think he ran a 14 for his trouble. Judging from your logic all C5's can beat stock "Z" cars. tongue.gif

where did you say they raced at again? oh yeah the track where you cant hook up for shit. you will always have better traction on the street than on the track unless you are lucky enough to be the first ones to race on a freshly prepared track. if i raced someone for money and beat the other person because he spun so badly, excuses or not i won and he would have to pay me or does the excuse "I SPUN OR COULDNT HOOK UP COUNT AS A TIE BECAUSE IT WASNT FAIR" As far as the video you are talking about, regardless of hooking up, the c5 vette won. WINNING IS WINNING!!!

lol, you do know the TRACK is prep'd for cars before use right? Walk out there some time and see for yourself. Most of the time your shoes will stick to the ground.

Better traction on the street? That's the best thing I heard all week. laugh.gif

the track is prepped for cars on the street until you get about 10 runs with dumb asses doing 15 second burnouts on regular street tires. Both of my cars run drag radials and they hook up way better on the street than the track

Don't be so sensitive unsure.gif I think it was just being pointed out to you that you must not be familiar with street racing or drag racing.
