Don't be so sensitive unsure.gif I think it was just being pointed out to you that you must not be familiar with street racing or drag racing.

no i dont know nothing about racing.....or it just so happens that my 93 mustang goes 10.6 n/a 9.1 witha 200 shot and my 03 cobra goes 10.20 in the quarter. bottom line... my cars or any high power car that i have driven has hooked up better on the street than it has at the track where i race in orlando (orlando speedway)

--------------------
I can remember about 7 years ago when my car only had 400rwhp and was going low 12's at the track and people were thinking that it was fast!!! Fast forward until now at it seems that you have to be packing at least 700rwhp and be running 9's to be considered fast!!!

Know nothing about Orlando Speedway but if your saying that you can hook up better on the street than at Orlando Speedway...I suggest you try another track! All of the tracks I have experienced were well prepared and are re-prepped all during the racing. The street is no place to try to hook up.

THERE IS MORE EXCITEMENT WHEN IT COMES TO STREET RACING RATHER THAN TRACK AS LONG AS YOU DO IT SAFELY...... i have never ran at another track so i dont know. well.... maybe my car will go 8.99 with a better track.

What bracket do you race in to make nine second runs? Surely not Prostock?

I think the C6 Z06 hung in there pretty well, considering that a twin turbo C5Z should be putting out alot more power. Both cars are awesome for sure.

First of all to anybody who knows squad about racing, it was pretty clear that the TT Z06 was a faster car.

But 50mph in 3rd gear?? WTF?? And does that mean that 1st and 2nd race started at 50mph in 4th gear ohmy.gif ? If that's the case - just LOL.

It looked pretty clear to me in the second race that the TT was significantly faster. If it were not for the statement at the end I would have assumed the TT was simply pacing the C6Z in the first and third runs.

The TT cars in general tend to be roll race monsters, I would expect to see the outcome like what happened in the second run.

The fact that it could not hook up in third at 50 mph tends to support the TT being a faster car.

I do love the new Z but those Lingenfelter TT's are about the baddest thing on the road in terms of a street legal car. If I could afford it that is what I would have, no doubt. I saw a TV show where they ran a LPE TT against a F-16 fighter jet from 0-100, the LPE TT won. Street legal except for the wheels/tires they used for that run. They said it was a $150,000 car including the purchase of the car.

I found an abbreviated version of it on youtube.

LPE TT- beat the F-18 Blue Angel from 0-60 and in the quarter up to 150 MPH.

LPE TT 0-60 1.97.

1.97! headbang.gif Street legal! ohmy.gif
