This is a video my friend edited. It's a 02 GT with Vortech S Trim 12 PSI, x pipe, Flowsmashers, C&L Plenum & TB, 4.10's, Weld Prostars w/ Skinnies and 275/50/15 Nittos vs 98 Z28 with Patriot Heads, FM11 Cam I think it has now it just got a new one, LS6 Intake, Pulley, Yank 4000 Converter, 3.73's and 315/35/17 Nittos from a 30 roll. He let it kick down to first and the Mustang got the jump.

We put the heaviest people in the GT, the lightest in the Z28 to make up for the cam, yank 3200 converter, stock pulley and everything else riding in the car! The GT driver isnt the best and they say the car is tuned but they got the car off of Ebay and I dont think it is. The previous owner told them it made 447 rwhp and there is no way. The Z28 did 375 rwhp with the old cam, converter and stock pulley.

No way that car made that much power. My friends 96 GT with ported PI heads, VT blower cams, Vortech S Trim, all the bolt ons, tuned with SCT made 450WHP @ 12-13psi, non intercooled. We figure it woulda made more power intercooled and if we could rev it to 7K.

Yea, stock manifolds and everything, there is no way. They are young and dont know really much about cars at all. The car doesnt even have a real tune like they think it does I bet. The speedo hasnt been corrected for the gears and the fan settings are stock I belive.

Why do people race from the roll, if their cars are setup for the dig.

It's safer than getting run over on the Interstate trying to stop. There arent many places to run from a stop around here.

I hear you. It is a rare day when i can go from a Dig. 99% of the time we are rolling.

There is a difference between slightly safe and completely unsafe. There is rarely a place for any fast cars to go from a stop around here these days. The one spot where it used to happen is FUGGED from the ricers coming out and getting the cops called.

The same reason as always, they cant drive. Unless its a Honda with a t88 on it. Then they go from 50mph so they can spool up the turbo and make it look like they are fast.

WRONG! See my answer above. There is a guy that runs 6.9's on the Eaton blower and faster on the bottle in his Cobra, you wont see many stop races on the street with him, not many places to do it here.

Im never wrong. My decision of what is and is not a race should be considered gospel.

Then feel free to come over and find us some safe stop racing places in this overrun town. Hurricanes will cause some major traffic!
