Funny how you come across these things....

I was surfing streetfire.net and was watching the cecil county video and about 3:00 into it (10 min video) i see what appears to be my car... I must have watched that section 10 times - it IS, it IS my car... The run right before my clutch fused togethor :-)

I cannot launch this car for crap...

And here is a more recent one of my buddies mustang, i have a special appearance about 1:30 into it - Racing against my Little sister in her 87 stock vette (just a CAI) - oh, i am on street tires.

I imagine if i get my drag radials to hook without my clutch sticking - i should be able to get a low 11, maybe high 10 out of her.

I didn't think that launch was bad at all ... when you're comparing to those outrageous dragster Camaros of course you ain't gonna look great. Those things launch like they bounced off a trampoline.

11.92! headbang.gif drivings.gif

I have run an 11.6, but dont have that one on video :-), I just cannot seem to get better then a high 1.8 60', i either spin or bog... I guess i need to heat up the radials a little more.

the 126 MPH trap speed should easily put me in the low 11's though.

I was siked just to come across it on street fire - thought that was pretty cool

Well you're practically famous, and should be with and elapsed time like that! headbang.gif

That's gotta be tough trying to get the optimum launch with a manual. With my auto you just press until it spins, then let off just a hair, then press again. I get off the line pretty good, not much to it.

I guess with a manual you really have to do the exact same gas pedal every time, then bring the clutch in at the exact right point with just the right rate ... perfect balance ... that would be tough. I'm sure it will come to you with practice though. specool.gif

You're still getting some great ET's either way!
