The side view turned out to be pretty interesting (andn blurry). Sorry to hear about your dog. Winston was very cool; I know how much you & Carrie loved him.

I dont see how youve floated by so long without catching a little gravel in the road or something man. Hopefully you can continue to slide by on that and enjoy your car though. Looked fun.

After 28 years of radical driving, the fact that I'm still above ground can't be on luck alone.

For starters, I run Nitto NT-01 tires, VERY STICKY! I also run Phat coilovers and Big Brrembo brakes. Going fast is one thing, but being able to control it is much more important!!
As far as gravel goes, I don't do any radical driving at night, or in foul weather. I always have a good clean shot at the road in front of me. If something looks not right, I make sure there are no sideways "G"s as I pass over it.

When I make a pass, I always make sure I can see the room I need to safely get by.

I also never drive out of my own comfort zone, even if that means someone is faster then me that day...

Having said all that, I still say my prayers every day!!!

I'll admit playing checkers or golf is a lot less dangerous hobby, but I just don't think the same rush is achieved!!! tongue.gif

Thats cool man. Maybe the coil over setup is more forgiving or just the area you are going to is very smooth. I found with mine it handles very predictably until the road gets rough then it seems to "skip" some. But no reason for me to add more tire till I feel comfortable with its current limits. Im fairly amazed at how well it holds on a street tire. As long as I stay in it enough to balance weight all four seem to give the same at least. You cant have everything perfect for a car that costs 50k new right? lol

Great to see you out and about! Sorry to hear about your dog. That side-backview was great. I've seen you at the track, so I know youcan drive, good thing you say your prayers and God sends you fast angels.

I have to take up for JB's driving. I've watched all of his videos and I've never seen any over driving (ok there was that one spin on the track, but after all he was chasing a Ford GT, and the tires were tired tongue.gif ). Thanks to JB's video's, I had to upgrade my HD...

If you look at what he's done to his car, it's setup. Every piece of that car has been upgraded with the best components money can buy. Proven products that are race tested.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a 98, which means no active handling. JB's a wheelman! I'm thinking JB needs to be on the next transporter 3 film as a driver in his C5 rocket through the canyons. Who wouldn't like that?

JB - Cool video as always!

Question...how the HELL do you not get caught by Cops? I use to drive those canyons with my friends and they were everywhere! We all had radar detectors but a few got caught every now and then. You do this OFTEN and I never see you getting tickets! Maybe you just edit that out biggrin.gif

One must pick and choose there spirited drive zones, but keen eyesight, V1 radar, being a member of a charitable organization, (no names please), and a bit of luck are all helpful.

Sure I've been stopped, I've got a few of them on video!! I've talked my way out of most, but when that does not work, there are many legal means to deal with tickets... I really don't get that many, and have a perfectly clean driving record!! (knock on wood)!!!!

I get the good driver discount on my insurance! tongue.gif
